Sand dryer, also known as a three-cylinder rotary dryer, is developed and manufactured based on single-cylinder dryers. It is an industrial dryer used for non-adhesive liquid materials. Currently, the three-cylinder dryers produced by Dingli Company, adopting mature technology, can be used as dehydration and drying equipment for upgrading high-moisture waste materials such as quartz sand, slag, bentonite, and kaolin. They have low drying costs, mature technology, large capacity, simple operation, and low labor requirements.
The rotating cylinder of the sand dryer is slightly inclined towards the horizon. To supply the material from the higher end and allow the heat carrier to enter from the lower end, this creates an unfavorable contact between them. Sometimes, they can be fed into the cylinder together. As the cylinder operates, the sand is carried by gravity to the lower side. During the process, the wet raw material is directly or indirectly heated and calcined, quickly drying the material. The final product is discharged via a belt conveyor or a screw conveyor. Shovels are installed inside the dryer, capable of lifting and distributing the material both upwards and downwards, increasing the contact area between the airflow and the material, improving efficiency, and ensuring rapid movement of the material. After the drying process, a cyclone dust collector is needed to capture the flying dust in the airflow.
