Bentonite dryers are primarily used for drying bentonite, kaolin, and various types of clay slurries, addressing issues such as sticking, breakage, and uneven drying. Dingli Group, in line with this development trend, has successfully launched bentonite dryers. These dryers can adapt to multiple fuels including coal, oil, and gas. Wet clays freshly mined, high-moisture concentrates after flotation, and agglomerated wet slags after smelting can, after processing by the dryer, have their moisture content precisely controlled to meet the requirements of various applications. Drying mineral soils can assist industrial processing; they can also be directly used as functional materials. Dried bentonite has a more developed pore structure, which can be used in wastewater treatment to absorb heavy metals and improve soil water retention and nutrient retention capacity.
Bentonite dryer mainly consists of a hot air furnace, belt feeder, drum dryer, belt discharger, exhaust fan, cyclone dust collector, bag dust collector, and operation control system. The equipment adopts a downstream drying process, and its working principle is as follows: After wet materials enter the drying drum, first the ore residue enters the guide zone, comes into contact with high-temperature hot air, and quickly evaporates moisture. Under the action of a large lead angle, the material moves with the guide plate and is guided to the cutting plate area. The ore slag is picked up by the cutting plate to form a material curtain. At this time, the material fully contacts the hot air, the water in the ore slag evaporates and carries away the moisture, which is sucked away by the exhaust fan, thus achieving the purpose of drying the ore slag. In this area, the material reaches the required moisture state and enters the final discharge zone. In this area, no lifting plates are installed on the drum, and the material rolls and slides to the discharge port to complete the drying.
