Slag is transported to the hopper via belt conveyors or bucket elevators, and then delivered to the feeding end by the hopper's feeder. The inclination of the feeding pipe should exceed the natural angle of repose of the material to ensure that the sand can flow smoothly into the dryer. The rotating cylinder of the dryer is slightly inclined from the horizontal plane. The material enters from the higher end, and the heat carrier enters from the lower end; sometimes both enter the cylinder simultaneously. As the cylinder rotates, the sand is carried by gravity to the lower side. During its forward movement, the wet raw material is directly or indirectly heated by the heat carrier, thereby drying quickly. The final product is discharged via a belt conveyor or screw conveyor. Inside the dryer, there are lifting plates whose function is to lift the material up and down, increasing the contact area between air and material, improving drying efficiency, and accelerating the material's running speed. After the drying process, the cyclone dust collector needs to capture the material in the airflow. Then, the exhaust gas is discharged.
