Sweet potato residue is the main by-product of the sweet potato processing industry, accounting for about 45% to 60% of the fresh weight, and is an excellent ruminant feed. However, due to the high moisture content and easy spoilage of sweet potato residue, the use of sweet potato residue as feed requires potato residue dehydration and drying equipment for processing.
How to dehydrate and dry sweet potato residue:
The sweet potato residue with a moisture content of 75-85% first passes through a special dehydrator to remove moisture to about 60%, and is then sent to the potato residue dryer by a screw conveyor for downstream drying. The sweet potato residue is continuously picked up and scattered under the lifting board in a spiral motion. The built-in stirring paddle device fully stirs and breaks the sweet potato residue, fully expands the heat exchange area between the sweet potato residue and the hot air, and the sweet potato residue and the hot air fully exchange heat. The moisture evaporates rapidly and reaches about 35%, completing the drum drying process. It is discharged by the screw conveyor and enters a special crusher for semi-wet materials. The sweet potato residue is crushed to a particle size of less than 1mm and enters the pulse airflow drying process. The material quickly drops to about 12% within 10-15s. The dry material powder is recovered by the cyclone discharger and the pulse bag dust collector, and the exhaust gas is discharged in compliance with the standard to complete the entire drying process. A vibration cleaning device is installed inside the drum to prevent the material from sticking to the drum wall.
