The mineral slag rotary dryer mainly consists of a hot air furnace, belt conveyor, rotary drum dryer, belt conveyor, exhaust fan, cyclone dust collector, bag dust collector, and operation control system. The equipment adopts a co-current drying process. After the material enters the drying cylinder, it is scattered into the following working areas: the first is the material guiding zone. After the slag enters this area, it comes into contact with high-temperature hot air, and moisture evaporates rapidly. Under the action of the large-inclination guide plates, the material is conveyed to the next working area; the second is the lifting plate zone. In this area, the slag is lifted and dropped by the lifting plates, forming a curtain-like state. At this time, the material comes into full contact with the hot air, and the moisture in the slag evaporates rapidly and is removed as water vapor, which is immediately extracted by the exhaust fan, thereby achieving the drying of the slag; the slag is dried to a moisture content lower than 5% in this area, in a loose state, reaches the required moisture content after heat exchange, and enters the final discharge zone; the third is the discharge zone. There are no lifting plates in the cylinder of this area, and the material rolls in the area to the discharge port, completing the entire drying process.
